Guidelines for Funding

Corporate Social Investments Criteria for selection of initiatives:

  • Alignment with Liberty’s education focus area(s)
  • Needs of the community
  • Proposed outcome of the initiative
  • Measurable impacts
  • The potential to involve Liberty employees and/or business units

Initiatives will only be considered if they meet the following criteria:

  • Education-related
  • Designed to promote financial literacy
  • Designed to support groups rather than individuals

Liberty will not consider initiatives that do not meet the requirements above, such as:

  • Organisations that are not registered charities or Non-Profit-Organisations (NPO's)
  • Political campaigns or candidates
  • Sporting tours or events
  • Individual bursaries or scholarships
  • Conferences and gala-dinners
  • Building or renovation projects
  • Church-building projects
  • Profit-making organisations
  • Publications and endowment funds
